final book 1 project fan experience

All fans of jay Asher and Thirteen Reasons Why need to get their hands on this new fan product. If you have read and loved the book then this product will be perfect for you. There is now a new coffee mug cup that you can fill up with hot chocolate just like Hannah did. This coffee mug is designed like the ones at Monet’s Garden cafĂ© and coffee house; it will have a reusable lid and cup but will look like ones you buy at the coffee house, and it will have a sleeve on it that says Monet’s Garden with the mug logo next to it. It will also have a part where you can mark off what drink you put in the cup that’s also washable so if you have a different drink you change it.

This idea comes from the book because when Hannah Baker first moved to the new town she always went to Monet’s Garden with Jessica Davis and Alex Standall. In the book she says “we both got hot chocolate. She ordered it thinking it would be funny. But me? I always order hot chocolate.” This relates because she got hot chocolate and drank it in a coffee cup, obviously. Also later in the book when Clay is listening to the tapes and visits the places she has marked on the map he stops by Monet’s Garden because of Hannah, but he didn’t order hot chocolate like he said he wanted to but he did order coffee. In the book it says, “In honor of Hannah, I should order a hot chocolate. At Monet’s, they serve them with tiny marshmallows floating on top the only coffee shop I know of that does that.” The coffee house was a special place to Hannah Baker. She would always go there with them to talk about her problems and just have a laugh when she was having a hard time. Hannah says “Monet’s garden was our safe haven.” This showed how much she loved and needed that place before they stopped going there, how it helped her out when she was feeling sad and without that it lead to her downfall.

I think that my idea will be pretty successful. I believe this because everyone drinks hot beverages and they need a mug or cup to put their drinks in so of course a coffee mug is a good idea people will always use them. When they go to the store and see that coffee cup will draw them to it if they have read the book and make them think about the book keeping and what else the author has been writing. It will broaden the audience because when someone has the coffee cup and their friends ask them why does it says Monet’s garden on it they will tell them about the book getting them interested in it. That also means the book will receive more attention.

book 1 overview

the book i read for my first book was thirteen reasons why. it is about a girl who had killed herself and recorded tapes with 13 sides about the thirteen reasons/people she killed herself andf the main character clay gets the tapes and it shows how he is feeling and reacting to the stories she tells on the tapes. i think that this is a great book, you can connect to it even if your not suidial because of all the stories in it. it makes you think alot about how even small things you dont even know will have a bad outcome can snowball into something big. i think that alot of people would like to read this but mostly girls would want to read it. out of five stars i would rate it 4.5. even thouigh its sad its a good story and i still enjoyed reading it. i think that it made up to my expoectations because ive heard its a good book and i though it was going to be great and it was, i read alot of it at one time. thogh i really liked the book i didnt really like how it ended, i wish that they explained it more and showed what happened and didnt just cut it off. i also didnt like how they didnt show how her family reacted when she was dead. but over all i would say it was a great book

post 3

A book is a voice.  It tells their thoughts what their thinking and what they want you to think. It tells the voice of their imagination, made up things that they wish were true or wish wasn’t real. But whatever the story it is someone’s or something’s voice. It’s the story someone has been begging to get out of their mind and tell everyone. Like when something amazing happens to you want to go and tell the world and with a book you can. Author’s way of sharing their voice to the world is to write a book. The books they write can be the related of things that happen to them but not actually to them so it can be the voice of the characters inside of the book. It can also be what their feeling at the moment they write the book like when their angry the author’s voice will sound mad and hurt and if their happy their voice will be joyful.

I do agree that I like having the actual book with me sometimes because of its essence and having it there in your hands and turning the pages. Sometimes it’s more convenient to have it on my phone or kindle.  It’s more convenient to carry that around then have a book and you don’t have to get out of the house to buy a book, and if your that lazy ,which I have to admit I am sometimes, you don’t feel like actually turning the pages. but there is something about having the actual book with me that makes the story more real and not just animated on a screen. i usually have the actual book with me i havent really read books on a kindle or something but i have a kindle but i dont really read on it.

my first book

I chose to read Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher for my first best sellers. I chose this book because I heard from my friend that it was really good and she usually likes the same kind of books I like. I also choose this because it was on the list that was handed out of recommended books to read and I remembered my friend talking about it. The author sounds good to me because he has written another teen book and has a major publication for young adult books. He also is a song writer, orchestrator, conductor, and pianist which is pretty cool. Also the reviews for the book on good reads were mostly good like four or five stars and they were raving about it. It also was a New York Times bestseller so a lot of people must have liked it. It also sounds very interesting. It is about a girl who committed suicide and recorded 13 tapes of her explaining to the thirteen people who are the reasons she commuted suicide why they helped make her do it. But I turns out that one of the people whose fault it was that she killed herself actually liked her.

why i read

I read for many different reasons. You are required to do it for school so that’s how I’ve read most of the books I’ve read. Some of them I didn’t want to read but ended up liking, but other id didn’t like. I read because you can feel like your experiencing things you haven’t or will never experience. Like I read a book about a girl who has cancer and I’ve never had cancer and probably won’t. I like to read because you can imagine a little story in your head like a movie but it lasts longer. I like to read because it can help me fall to sleep sometimes. I also like to read books about something that I can relate to or slightly relate to. Like in the fault in our stars I could relate to having someone in my family having cancer. I like to read because you can take a break from reality. I like to read when I am bored and there are no good shows on or nothing to do. I like to read when a book is very interesting and wants me to keep reading. I like to read when the author has an interesting story or idea that he wrote a book on.
